Marriage License Details
The Officiant does not provide Marriage Licenses. The couple must obtain their marriage license at the Oregon County of their choice within 60 days of the date of the ceremony. A license purchased in any county is the state is valid anywhere within Oregon. The couple signs their license at the County Clerk’s office at the time of issuance; they do not sign their license after the ceremony along with the witnesses. The Officiant takes care of the signing of the license by the bride and groom’s chosen witnesses right after the ceremony, often while photos are being taken. If there is an additional keepsake certificate obtained by the couple from their County Clerk, they sign document and takes care of having the witnesses sign this also. All witnesses on the official license must be over 18 years old. The keepsake certificate can be signed by witnesses of any age. This is the place to honor children of the bridal couple who might like to be the ‘witnesses’.
As our gift to you, you will be sent a Certified Copy of your Marriage License directly from the Recorder’s Office, and as a final remembrance, we will present the bride and groom with a printed copy of the wedding ceremony – a keepsake to cherish forever.
